Do you have to invite your boss? Or multiple bosses?<\/p>\n<p>So pretty soon, the guest list can become something of a nightmare.<\/p>\n<p>The number can easily total 50% or more greater than the figure you had in your head.<\/p>\n<p>And while this might seem to be something of an intractable problem, modern brides and grooms have got around it, to a great extent, through the staging of a \u2018Day 2\u2019&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>A lower key celebration where you can invite anyone or everyone.<\/p>\n<p>The additional expense is minimal, and anyone who might have missed out on the \u2018first cut\u2019 can now be included in your celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody is offended that they weren\u2019t there for the church celebration, and the fact of the matter is that the second day is often much more enjoyable than the first.<\/p>\n<p>This is certainly the case for the bride and groom and any of the main players.<\/p>\n<p>They can rock up in jumper and jeans, and simply enjoy the company of friends and loved ones without the countless formalities that sometimes get in the way.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of staging such an event can be very low, compared to staging a wedding.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps a live DJ and some low-cost food platters as \u2018soakage\u2019 can be the basis for a brilliant and highly memorable knees-up.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6557\" src=\"http:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2.jpg\" alt=\"Wedding Entertainment Ireland - Shane Black\" width=\"1832\" height=\"1222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2.jpg 1832w, https:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2-1030x687.jpg 1030w, https:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2-1500x1001.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2-705x470.jpg 705w, https:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/wedding-day-2-entertainment-shane-black-blog2-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1832px) 100vw, 1832px\" \/>You could also sprinkle an extra layer of sparkle by hiring a mentalist or <a href=\"http:\/\/shaneblack.ie\">close-up magician.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A skilful mentalist or mind reader can mingle casually with your guests and create some real wow moments that will be remembered for a long time to come.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a thoughtful way of saying to the guests on the second day that they\u2019re not some sort of second-class citizens, but are getting the same sort of love and respect as the guests on the big day.<\/p>\n<p>Another big plus of the second day celebration is that it\u2019s almost impossible for anything to go wrong.<\/p>\n<p>The wedding dress can\u2019t get ruined by a drunken uncle, the wedding cake can\u2019t collapse, there are no speeches that can cause potential embarrassment.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s simply an impromptu and informal party \u2013 that just happens to take place on the day after a wedding.<\/p>\n<p>Guests are free to be themselves and to let it all hang out among friends, family and neighbours.<\/p>\n<p>The bottom line from all of this is that if you&#8217;re planning a wedding in the foreseeable future, you\u2019re probably inviting a huge amount of time and energy.<\/p>\n<p>But remember that the <a href=\"http:\/\/shaneblack.ie\/weddings\/\">best wedding entertainment ideas<\/a> can frequently work just as well on Day 2 \u2013 but in a scaled down version.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, too, that for a whole variety of very genuine reasons, some of your guests may have been unable to make the actual wedding day.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps your sister\u2019s child was running a very high temperature and she had to stay at home.
