Shane is very easy to deal with, always responsive and accommodating. He’ll work with you in order to provide your “vision” for the event, although we’ve found his experience and suggestions for events to be excellent and always go with this. From events such as summer BBQs to sit down banquets, Shane circulates and manages to make such an impact on the large events we’ve run. He gives everyone he talks to time, and never seems rushed in his performances. He’s very professional, you don’t have to worry about a thing from when he arrives to when he leaves, which is great when you are trying to coordinate the event on the night. We will definitely be hiring Shane for future events, as his entertainment is always new and varied so we don’t have the usual worry of people having seen something once, he’s caught me out numerous times! Would encourage anyone considering him to go for it, as regardless of your event, he will provide unique entertainment for your guests and you’ll be delighted with the results.

To say he is a mentalist and mind reader is certainly an understatement ! Shane worked the tables throughout our celebratory dinner - engaging all of our guests, creating gasps and rounds of applause and definitely creating an atmosphere of intrigue . He was mesmerising ! Shane performed at the Insurance Institute of Sligo annual black tie dinner last week in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Sligo. He kept the crowd interested from the first minute with his unbelievable & mind boggling tricks. Tricks probably isn't the word because he is so much more than a "magician". This was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! Shane Black is just amazing! He dealt easily with our guests of many different cultural backgrounds and went down a treat with all. Although it's taken us a ridiculous amount of time to get around to reviewing Shane's performance at our wedding last year (and never normally write reviews at all!) we cannot recommend him highly enough. We took a bit of a punt on hiring him - we had not seen him perform but had heard rave reviews from others - and we are so glad we did! Shane was engaging and charming and put everyone at ease. He appealed to absolutely everyone and really tailored the performance to the audience. The performances themselves were incredible and we still cannot fathom how any of the tricks were done. The guests were so impressed and have been talking about Shane ever since. The only downside to people being so enthralled and wanting to see more was that he didn't manage to get around all the tables during the meal, so not everyone saw him, but he certainly did his best! Some guests from England were so impressed they wanted him to come to their son's wedding and would have booked him on the spot, but unsurprisingly he was already booked! Shane also stayed slightly later than agreed so that he could include more guests, and although we would happily have paid extra to have him stay all night unfortunately he had another booking! We can also say that Shane is a really honest guy - we had inadvertently sent him the deposit twice and he let us know and refunded us the extra money immediately when we wouldn't even have noticed we'd done it (wedding brains!). Overall, we are SO glad we booked Shane for our wedding - it made an amazing day even more special and we would definitely urge you to book him for yours!! His magic really is mind-blowing.

I cannot recommend Shane highly enough!! Shane performed at our wedding in Kilkenny on 02May15. I contacted Shane initially to see if he was available for our pre-dinner drinks reception, but he was already booked for another event. Instead he performed in between the courses of the meal and after the meal while the band was setting up. This actually worked out really well as it was a great talking point during the meal and it meant that there wasn't a lull in between the meal and the band as Shane was there to entertain!! I had seen some of your work through booking you for other functions in my work capacity and when I said to Aidan that I definitely knew what surprise entertainment I wanted for our guests on our wedding day he said I was mad!! I booked Shane to perform at my wedding (pre-dinner time) having seen him at a work event previously. I wanted something different and to entertain people before the dinner reception. The feedback I got from the guests was that Shane was the best part of the wedding!!) He had everyone’s attention, so much so they didn't want to go for their dinner! He entertained the entire crowd including the children, taking time to perform to individuals as well as the small groups. It was possibly the best part of the day and one no one will ever forget. The next day and the few weeks after the wedding I got so many calls and texts asking me for his details, that speaks for itself. We hired Shane for my husband's 40th birthday party. Shane performed his amazing tricks from slight of hand to close up card tricks to unbelievable mind reading. Our friends still talk about him from our wedding 8 years ago and I'm sure they'll be talking about him again after this night.

I had a gathering of 25 friends and family for my 50th birthday and had booked Shane to come along. I had read some great reviews before but was not sure how well it would work with a small group. I need not have worried. Shane was amazing. Not only is he a real gentleman, he also has the ability to just glide from group to group, engaging and amazing even the most sceptical of my friends. He is charming and fabulously talented. Several days after the event many of my friends and family are still talking about Shane and how they could just not figure out how he does what he does! I would thoroughly recommend Shane - no matter what size the crowd - he has the ability to add a real sparkle to the evening. Thanks Shane!

Oh my God what an amazing show. Everyone is still talking about it. I booked Shane for my husbands 40th party in our home over the weekend. I was concerned was it over the top for a small house party (about 30 guests) but it was brilliant and the smaller numbers meant everyone got to experience the magic. Each and every part of the act was mind blowing and will leave lasting memories.
I would have no hesitation in booking Shane again and look forward to seeing him at some event in the future.

We hired Shane for our 50th birthday party last Saturday. The feedback from every single one of the 80 guests was absolute amazement. They were simply blown away with the illusions with no clue how he performed them. Everybody had an amazing night and the party will be talked about for years to come and a night my wife and I will never forget.

Shane performed at my Mum's 60th birthday party and was absolutely FANTASTIC! The audience ranged from a 4 year old girl up to the brothers and sisters of my parents - everyone at the party was mesmerised by the performance. There was a great mix of personal interaction with small groups to a super finale performance for the whole group. Everyone felt involved and had stories of different tricks that Shane had performed for their small group. People still talk about the amazing performance and I know it will be hard to top it for a future family party! Thanks Shane!

We had a family gathering for our father's 90th birthday, a surprise present. Shane was the best gift EVER!! All ages attended and each of us are still talking about it! An amazing night. Shane's professionalism and slight of hand was something we'd never witnessed in person before. We did our best to close our minds but Shane could still read us!! Scary but so enjoyable. Shane was at a wedding we attended and we were blown away, so we got him to our house for my daughter's 21st birthday at the house. Shane has performed for me at two separate family gatherings and he was outstanding on both occasions. The parties were in different houses. Both homes are situated in rural Co Waterford at the end of long narrow country lanes but Shane had no problem finding us. I have booked him for the arrivals reception at the hotel for our daughter’s up-coming wedding. My family and friends now expect Shane to provide my party entertainment and they thoroughly enjoy every show. Exceptional entertainment.
